Supported Image Formats
Check which image formats Content Studio accepts and where each format is appropriate.
Accepted Formats
JPG / JPEG — suitable for photographs and general photographic images.
PNG — useful for transparency, logos, and interface-style artwork.
WebP — an efficient modern format for web imagery.
GIF — accepted where the format is appropriate.
Upload Validation
Content Studio accepts files with JPG or JPEG, PNG, WebP, and GIF extensions. It also verifies that the file’s detected image type matches a supported format, so changing an unsupported file’s extension does not make it valid.
Smart Image Display
Upload acceptance determines whether an image can enter Media Manager. A developer’s Smart Image settings—such as fit and aspect ratio—separately control how that accepted image appears on a page.
What Content Studio Does Not Promise
Format support does not imply automatic conversion, optimization, or GIF animation handling. Prepare images appropriately before upload when those behaviors matter.
