Image Appears Cropped

Review image aspect ratio, fit, and destination settings when an image is cropped.

What This Usually Means

The image is being fitted into a constrained box. Cropping is usually controlled by the component’s Aspect Ratio, Object Fit, and Position settings.

Check the Component

1. Select the CS Smart Image, CS Post List, or CS Event List component that displays the image.

2. Review its Aspect Ratio. Choose Auto when the original proportions should remain unconstrained.

3. If an aspect ratio is required, review Object Fit. Cover fills the box by cropping; Contain keeps the whole image visible and may leave unused space.

4. Adjust Position to keep the important part of the image inside the visible crop.

5. Preview the page at the widths where the crop was reported.

If the Crop Still Looks Wrong

Confirm that the component’s size and aspect ratio suit the source image. If those controls are locked by the site design, ask the site developer which setting should be changed.
