Event Types
Understand the event types available to Content Studio and how they affect display.
Dated Event
A Dated Event represents an event tied to one calendar date. Event Date is required; Event Time is optional. Published dated Events appear in the Event List according to its layout and filters, and move from upcoming to past after their date passes.
Recurring Event
A Recurring Event represents an ongoing or repeating item without one required calendar date. Recurring Label is required, and Recurring Graphic is optional. Published recurring Events remain in the ongoing/upcoming presentation rather than moving to past based on a date.
Recurring Labels
The recurring label is display text, such as a simple schedule description. Content Studio displays the label but does not calculate weekly, monthly, or other calendar occurrences from it. Recurring is a content and presentation type, not an automated recurrence engine.
Public Presentation
Event List layouts show the dated date or recurring label using the presentation supported by that layout. The Event List’s type, grouping, sorting, and display settings still determine which eligible Events appear and how they are arranged.
