Starter Content or Start Empty

Choose the Northlight Studio sample set or begin with a clean Content Studio installation.

Install Starter Content

Install Starter Content adds an editable Northlight Studio sample set. It gives you ready-made content to explore while learning how Content Studio works.

What It Includes

The sample set includes Posts, Events, and images. Once installed, these are ordinary site content: you can edit or delete them as you build the site.

Installed Once

Starter Content is seeded only once during this initialization. Deleted sample records do not automatically return, and normal publishing does not reinstall them.

Start Empty

Start Empty creates a usable Content Studio installation without sample Posts, Events, or images. Choose it when preparing a real client site or when you want a completely clean content library.

Choose the Best Starting Point

Choose Starter Content when you are learning Content Studio, exploring the interface, or building a demonstration site.

Choose Start Empty when you already know the workflow or want to begin with only the site’s real content.

Both choices produce a complete, usable Content Studio installation. Starter Content is optional.
