Content Studio / Troubleshooting
Content Studio Cannot Find Published Instance
Resolve discovery problems between Content Studio and its published runtime.
What This Usually Means
Content Studio cannot resolve the published application and its site-specific runtime data at the current location. This can happen after an incomplete publish, an incomplete move, or a change to the published site path.
Check in Order
1. Confirm that you opened the intended published Content Studio page, not an older copy at another address.
2. Confirm that the page containing CS Admin was published successfully.
3. Confirm that cyclops-cms and its sibling cyclops-cms-data folder were transferred together.
4. Sign in if possible and review System Health for missing paths, folders, or settings files.
5. If the site was moved, confirm that the complete published site and the existing runtime data are at the new location.
Safe Recovery
Preserve the existing cyclops-cms-data folder. Republish the application files if they are incomplete, or restore the matching runtime-data backup if the runtime folder is missing. Contact the site developer before combining files from different installations.
