Adding Content Studio Components
Add the Content Studio components your site needs and place them on the correct pages.
Add Only What the Site Needs
A site does not need every public display component. Add the administration component, then add only the Post, Event, and Smart Image components required by the design.
Admin
Place Admin on the page that will serve as the browser-based administration area. A typical site uses one clearly named administration page.
Post List
Place Post List on any public page that should display published Posts. Configure the presentation and content options in the Elements inspector.
Event List
Place Event List on any public page that should display published Events. Configure its list style and related options in the Elements inspector.
Smart Image
Place Smart Image where an approved public image position should be updateable from Content Studio. First define its Friendly Name and Machine Key under Smart Image Destinations in the Admin inspector, then enter that same key in the Smart Image component’s Destination Key. The Admin header logo does not require a separate Smart Image placement.
Add a Component to a Page
1. Select the destination page in the Elements project.
2. In the Components library, open the CMS group and drag the required CS component into the page layout.
3. Select the component and configure its available options in the inspector.
Multiple Placements
You can place multiple Post List, Event List, or Smart Image components where the design calls for them. Configure each placement in Elements for its role on the page.
